I grew up in the country on 25 acres outside the city limits. My wife and I are native to Texas, and we believe Tomball ISD is the best district in the state. We moved to TISD in 2018 from Spring specifically for the schools. Like so many others we know, TISD was and still is, our destination district.
When I say education has been in my blood for most of my life, my family is a part of that story. I grew up in an educator family, with my mother serving over 31 years in education: 16 as a principal, 7 as a counselor, and 8 as a teacher. My father was a teacher, teaching vocational trades, industrial technology, and science for 18 years

I grew up in an educator family, with my mother serving over 31 years in education: 16 as a principal, 7 as a counselor, and 8 as a teacher. My father was a teacher, teaching vocational trades, industrial technology, and science for 18 years. He also was an adjunct college professor for 4 years at Tyler Junior College and Texas State Technical College. Before that, he honorably served our country in the Marine Corps. I have been around education most of my life, and believe in the ability of our school system to make a difference in our children's lives.
I spent 6 years in the classroom teaching history, algebra, and coaching football, basketball, and track.
Fiscal responsibility is extremely important to me as well, and currently, I work as a Director of Accounting for McKesson Corporation. My group handles the financials of the US Oncology segment, which provides cancer care to over 1.

Fiscal responsibility is extremely important to me as well, and currently, I work as a Director of Accounting for McKesson Corporation. My group handles the financials of the US Oncology segment, which provides cancer care to over 1.4 million patients in the U.S. each year. Giving back to the community is a very important part of who I am as a person, which is yet another reason why I’m interested in serving on the board.
My teaching career was diverse, teaching and coaching in Lake Travis, Irving, Magnolia, and Conroe ISDs.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports, with my favorite being football. Spending time with the kids, going to the gym, and house upkeep tend to keep me busy for the rest of my spare time. I am one of those people who want to mow their lawn and fix most things (Thankfully, YouTube has helped me out of several binds!). Also, the last few years the best part about working from home was getting to see my kids grow up, which was a huge blessing.
Being both a teacher and coach emphasized the importance of good role models for children, and I love continuing that tradition through the Watch D.O.G. Dad program at our school. Dads, if you haven’t signed up for your program at your child’s school, I’d highly recommend doing so.
In addition to volunteering at school, I have a team for the Alzheimer’s Awareness walk at Town Green Park on October 26th. If you’d like to join that team, we’d be happy to have you!
The most important and relatable experience within a school setting I’ve had is working with kids within a classroom. Making a difference in children’s lives by working with both students and student athletes was a tremendous joy that I still cherish, and I’m so proud of the young men and women that they have become. Seeing the joy in the eyes of a student who had never passed a mathematics standardized test until the year I taught him is still the best moment in the classroom I have experienced. Making a difference in a kid's life is priceless.

Outside of the classroom, the most impactful experience would be the positive resolutions in the community through our valuable work this last year. Working with both district staff and members of several boards continues to make me proud to be a part of this district.
Working in an industry that gives back equally makes me proud, and I love the fact I was able to help our northern neighbors in Conroe with $4M in approved transportation grant funds for school buses this year!
Growing up in an educational family and now working outside of education gives me experience and respect for both areas. I've personally experienced how hard teaching can be, and how much we need the full community to support our children.
I'm thankful in TISD we have such a supportive community.
The overall goal for our community is to prepare children for life and give them the tools, support, and care they need to succeed. That is the mission of parents, educators, and kids alike. It is also my mission, and I would like to give back to the community by helping support the future of America -- our children.
If I am honored by being elected, I will partner with the district to ensure we are good stewards of fostering a culture and climate to support each student's whole S.E.L.F.
• Safety - Continue, maintain, and increase safety in our schools.
• Educational Excellence - Supporting teachers and principals to help every child's needs be met.
• Learning Foundations - Build a strong learning foundation that prepares each child for success in this world.

Destination excellence has been a journey, and in the future, we will strive to exceed excellence in every manner!
I have read the Thought Exchange surveys from both the District Zone Reset in October and the Exceed Excellence Engagement Summary in February, and I am aware of the thoughts and heartfelt responses provided by the staff and community on the following:
· Transportation Issues
· Teacher Pay & Retention
· Location of Schools, Safety & Proximity to Homes
· Funding for Budget Shortfalls (& Grants to Supplement Areas)
· Fast Growing District: Future Schools, Location of Future Schools & Land Availability/Development
· The accomplishments in the past several years within the district -- Congrats THS Baseball State Champs!!
I have been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place. Thankfully, many candidates running for the board have been doing the same. We are blessed with the engagement and care of our candidates. An abundance of good people who care is a great thing!
TEA's Fiscal Year 2025 to 2029 plan outlines the state's vision for student success, with 60% of students attaining post-secondary success within 6 years of graduation.
The plan's goals, priorities, and objectives outline 4 strategic priorities and 6 key actions for Texas school districts.
A link to the full TEA Strategic Plan is at the bottom of this site.

The plan also highlights the concept of continuous improvement, which the private sector embraces through efficiency, effectiveness, and achievement.
